Too much happened in year 2014 that I could not summarize it.  However, I got what I wished for:  exponential growth.

I don't plan.  I only wish/intend.

I did not know how I would grow.  I did not draw out a plan.  But I am happy with the journey.  It was about self-discovery, self-empowerment, self-love, self-actualization, etc.  It was also about divine love, universal love, and unconditional love.

Some of my lessons were summarized on Twitter.  But I am only mildly satisfied with my performance at most of my lessons.  I would rate my performance at 60% to 65%.

I have yet to decide what year 2015 will be for me, but I imagine a lot of the lessons I didn't do well this year will be repeated next year.  This year was about elevation and expansion of awareness.  Maybe next year, I will tackle purification of awareness.

There are many articles, books, blogs, videos, etc. about Jungian personality traits of introversion and extroversion.  Here's my summary: Introversion is a inward movement of energy (contractive). Extroversion is an outward movement of energy (projective). The Reasons I Write

The three main reasons that propelled me to write: 1) The Swiss film director Godard once said, "Art is not a reflection of reality.  It is the reality of a reflection." After I started writing, I understood this point.  It is the main reason why I am still writing today. We think we are alive, but we are often dead inside.  A writer's task is to instill life in her writings.  If she has no life in her, she will have no life to instill in her works, and her audience will be able to sense it, how ever subtle that life may be. My cousin's photography instructor said, to take a good portrait photo, the photographer must be genuinely interested in the subject.  In the same way, to write a good book, the writer must be genuinely interested and passionate about the subject.  After I started writing, I have taken up an interest in arachnids, the Qing dynasty, and other subjects which I would normally disregard, and have engaged in various conversations as ...

I have a better appreciation of the foreign film Ajami, after learning that the entire cast were non-professional actors who never acted before, and that there was no script written for this film. The acting coach was able to bring out the raw emotions in each of the actors, and to let them say it how ever they want to get the message across. Many of the scenes were shot in one take. The film pocketed many awards. It reminds me of a Wong Kar Wai's movie in which Faye Wong was awarded the best actress. Faye said she wasn't acting; she was simply being herself. Wong's method was to let the actors be themselves, sometimes without scripts and without deadlines, and actors were not to know what the story of the movie was. The winning ingredients of his films are improvisation and experimentation. This reminds me of my stay in Cyprus.
