Reverse Thinking 逆向思维

Q: Do you think damp clothes will dry faster in summer or winter? A: Most people think it is summer, because the temperature is higher.  However, it is winter because humidity is lower. The fact is not always what we expect it to be.  Similarly, in life, we sometimes have to look in the opposite direction, to find what we have been looking for.

"we love you"

I have a lot of self-doubt. Whenever I don't get a clear reply or if I don't believe in the answer I get from my spirit guides or helpers or angels, I would ask again, or ask another guide or angel.  Sometimes I will repeat the same questions on another day. Sometimes I apologize to them, saying, "I know I am driving you bonkers.  I am so sorry I have to ask you this a million times.  " One day, my spirit helper said, "It's okay.  If you have to ask a million times, we will answer you a million times, if that's what it takes to show you we love you."

Our Beliefs Give Us Strength

A crumbling belief can be a very scary thing.  Imagine - the guy you have been dating for the last three years is geting married tomorrow, and you are not the bride; - the friend you share everything with has been scheming to scam you; - the religion that you have been faithfully following is actually a suicide cult; or - the company that you have been working for, which you think is a charitable organization, is just a front to launder illegal funds. Our happiness is tied to our beliefs. At one point in my life, I spent three or four weeks learning to construct and deconstruct belief systems.  Construct, deconstruct, construct, deconstruct. Every time when my belief collapsed, I rebuilt it.  When it didn't serve me anymore, or I had to change my experiences, then I deconstructed it. I had two conflicting belief systems.  It was like a computer with dual operating systems.  I switched between the belief systems, because I had to. Whenever my belief collapsed, it felt

Reproductive System, Contraception, and Conception

Today's visit to the herbalist taught me the following. Birth control pills We discussed a patient's case where she appeared like a he, but when the herbalist read her pulse, he discovered that this patient was a woman.  Her hormonal system was severely out of balance due to over-consumption of birth control pills. Sometimes she takes two, or more, pills a day, depending on the frequency of her sexual activity.  This has also caused her lethargy.  As soon as she sits down, she doesn't want to get up.  She cannot get up from bed in the morning. Different individuals display different symptoms. Even if there was no need for contraception on a certain day, the girl is still advised to take one pill, to make sure that the hormonal system doesn't go out of whack.  The user cannot take control of her body one day, and not take control the next day.  Hence, the consumption has to be regular, whether her activity is regular or not. The pill acts to kill the sperm in

Introversion and Extroversion

There are many articles, books, blogs, videos, etc. about Jungian personality traits of introversion and extroversion.  Here's my summary: Introversion is a inward movement of energy (contractive). Extroversion is an outward movement of energy (projective). There are different reasons for the direction of flow.  However, I can only use myself as an example, as I could not find examples of Jungian personality traits being discussed as energy flows.  As much as I can understand myself (not enough), below are some possible reasons of the inward flow of personal energy: 1) Low energy level:  When I am tired, either lack of sleep, or body requires extra energy to rebuild, realign, recover, etc., then I pull in my energy. 2) Creative work:  When I write, I draw in a lot of energy, because otherwise I am a scatterbrain whose ideas don't flow logically or structurally.  Other individual activities such as reading also draw in a lot of energy, but it differs in the sense that
